Here is a list of things Kyle would like to share about traveling in Mexico.

  1. Don't travel in Mexico.
  2. Don't drive in Mexico.
  3. Don't drive through the mountains, stick to the Gulf coast.
  4. Trucks suck.
  5. Buses suck.
  6. Mexican roads really suck.
  7. Don't drive in Mexico City.
  8. Honk and flash your lights continually in Mexico City, you'll fit in better.
  9. Don't breath in Mexico City, you'll die.
  10. Pass cars that go too slow, and don't be afraid.
  11. Don't drive at night.
  12. Don't drive at night without an overhead spotlight to guide you.
  13. Don't speed past narcotics checkpoint stations in the middle of the night.
  14. No one speaks english.
  15. Don't ask for directions, even if you know spanish.
  16. There are no maps of Mexico in Mexico.
  17. All the existing maps of Mexico are obsolete.
  18. Don't go to Tula.
  19. You're driving the wrong way if someone whistles at you.
  20. Don't eat at "cocina economica" under any circumstances.
  21. Gas attendants at Pemex take American dollars, for a price.
  22. Use your visa for everything, you get the full exchange rate.
  23. Buy Mexican car insurance, it can save you a trip to jail.
  24. Speed all the time while driving.
  25. Pay no attention to stops signs or street lights.
