For those of you who don't know, Playa Del Carmen is about 30 minutes south of Cancun on the mainland of the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico.

In September of 1996, my mother Mary Beth moved to Playa Del Carmen and opened a coffee shop named The Coffee Press. She owns and operates the business and is living happily in Playa. The coffee press is located less than a block from the Caribbean Sea, on Calle 2, between the beach and Calle 5. You can get to Playa Del Carmen by ferry from Cozumel, or by the highway from Cancun.
