Xcaret Tropical Paradise created by man. This was a very exciting portion of my trip, although I got extremely sick and had to leave shortly after arriving. This place is a man-made paradise, with pink flamingos, parrots, and many other animal exhibits, plus the beach, and an underground river that you can float in. It's a long river, but there are many exits. It's all free once you get in! If you go, eat first and put on suntan lotion before you even approach the gate, because the food is muy expensive, and they'll take your suntan lotion at the gate, whether you like it or not. Don't worry though, almost everything is shaded. There are excellent miniature recreations of most of the popular sites of Mayan ruins in the pyramid, don't miss them!
